History
Kid Spectrum's history is presumably similar to his Earth-616 counterpart's except he never gained powers after finding a Supernova helmet. His favorite hero was Doctor Spectrum, which inspired his love for everything outer space. One day, while visiting a space exhibit at the local museum, the villain M.O.D.A.C. attacked the museum to retrieve the Omega Stone. Doctor Spectrum tried fighting M.O.D.A.C., but the Omega Stone gave the villain enough of a power boost to cut Spectrum off from his power source, his Power Prism. Wanting to help Spectrum, Sam rushed in and grabbed the Power Prism, which responded to his will and heart and gave him a small portion of its power, allowing Sam to fight M.O.D.A.C. This distracted M.O.D.A.C. long enough for Spectrum to recover and defeat the villain. Inspired by Sam's courage, Spectrum made him his sidekick and dubbed him Kid Spectrum.
Sam and the other young heroes Girl Power and the new Falcon, Miles Morales joined together to form the Young Squadron. While Sam and the Young Squadron were fighting the Wrecking Crew, Miles was kidnapped by the deranged Deadpool who planned to kill him to ensure the Falcon mantle remained dead. Sam and Kamala found Miles thanks from help from the blogger the Whisperer and stop Deadpool's plan. However, Deadpool revealed to the young heroes that their role models were actually frauds who thought nothing about the people and property they harmed. After handing Deadpool over to Nighthawk, Sam and the Young Squadron decided to show people that not all heroes were brutal like the Squadron Supreme.[1]Attributes
