History

This version of the Cannonball was introduced during the massacre of the Morlocks by the Marauders. The New Mutants were attacked by Warlock's father, Magus and Magik accidentally separated the New Mutants through time and space. Magma, Wolfsbane, Sunspot, and Karma were sent to a future where the Sentinels had taken over and killed all mutants and superhumans.

The only remaining New Mutants were adult versions of Cannonball and Mirage and all remaining mutants were sent, by Lila Cheney, to her Dyson Sphere. Upon the arrival of the mainstream New Mutants, the adult Cannonball and Mirage aided them against a Sentinel attack and rescued Lila from the Sentinels, but decided that they must be left where they were, so that, when their friends came looking, they would be able to return home.
