An old anthropomorphic polar bear who delivered gifts to children yearly, Sanity Claws had repeated bouts of insanity whenever he donned stocking caps due to the elastic bands pressing his brain too much. He repeatedly clashed with superhero Deerdevil, first when Claws began a spree of entering homes through chimneys to steal milk and cookies and fill in socks drawers with coals; and later when he began a cult. Once Deerdevil removed his cap, Claws recovered and even forgot his criminal deeds.[1]
