Conan is enslaved, and forced to fight as a gladiator in decadent Nemedia. But when the lust-filled Empress of Nemedia sets her jaded eyes on Conan, his fight-filled future takes an intrigue-laden turn for the worse!

- The city of Belverus appearing in this issue was explicitly stated by Roy Thomas as not being Nemedia's capital,[1] who refers to it as "New Belverus".[2]
