- "Black Colossus" is adapted from the eponymous story (Weird Tales; June, 1933) by Robert E. Howard.
- "The Beast from the Abyss" is adapted from Robert E. Howard and Lin Carter's "Black Abyss" and was reprinted in Conan the Barbarian Annual #3 (Lin Carter completed an unfinished manuscript of Howard, and published it in 1967).
- "The Beast from the Abyss"'s inks are credited to Crusty Bunkers (i.e. Heath, Adams, Giordano and Weiss).
- The issue also includes Chronicles of the Sword, an article by Lin Carter. It is continued in the next issue.
