The Scarab is a powerful mystical creature in service of Seth. After the Asgardian thunder god Thor was banished from Asgard for mistakenly slaying his grandfather, Bor, the Egyptian death god Seth believed Thor's spirit was weakened to the point where he was an easy target. Calling forth four of his servants including Scarab, he ordered them to hunt and kill Thor; however, Scarab was forced to retreat when Seth realized his assumption was incorrect upon witnessing his servant Grog fall before Thor's might.[1]

The Scarab possesses various superhuman abilities as a result of her insectoid physiology.
Superhuman Strength: The Scarab possesses superhuman strength.
Superhuman Speed: The Scarab is capable of running and moving at speeds much greater than even the finest human athlete.
Superhuman Stamina: The Scarab body produces considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of human beings, and most other members of her race for that matter, during physical activity. She can exert herself at peak capacity for several days before fatigue begins to impair her.
Superhuman Durability: The Scarab body is highly resistant to physical injury. She is fully capable of withstanding great impact forces, temperature and pressure extremes, and powerful energy blasts without sustaining any form of injury.
Regenerative Healing Factor: The Scarab is capable of healing with superhuman levels of speed and efficiency if injured. However, the extent of her healing powers are well beyond those of the majority of her race. She is capable of regenerating missing limbs or organs.
Immortality: The Scarab is functionally immortal in the sense that she is immune to aging. She has not aged since reaching adulthood and is immune to all known Earthly diseases and infections.
