History

Scathan was a Celestial who may or may not have originated during the time of the First Cosmos; however, what is known is that Celestials' counterparts across the Multiverse are interconnected aspects of themselves and not separate beings. Thus, the Scathan of Earth-691 is one aspect of the true Scathan.

Scathan was summoned by the Living Tribunal for a trial against the Beyonder and the godlike child known as the Protégé. After Protégé copied the Living Tribunal's power and nearly usurped him, Scathan disapproved of the situation and encased the Protégé with a Celestial Muzzle.
