History
The being that became known as Scylla was a Hydra experiment codenamed "Project: Scylla", whose intent was to create a human hybrid that could exist in the depths of the ocean. After it's creation in an secret underwatercraft, the experiment ran wild and killed the crew of the ship, which sank to the bottom of the sea, where it lay for an undisclosed amount of time. Nick Fury heard of Scylla and sent Iron Man down to stabilize the ship from falling into a trench in order to retrieve Scylla. Against Fury's wishes, Iron Man entered the craft and found Scylla who attacked him while asking for help. A short battle ensued where the craft was slowly knocked into the trench, forcing Iron Man to flee as the ship crashed to the depths. Unbeknownst the Iron Man and Fury, Scylla survived and fled deeper into the ocean.[1]
