History

Sebastian Shaw was the leader of the Hellfire Club. After Mastermind had used Cyclops's ability against the rest of the X-Men, Shaw and the Club finished them off. They then tracked down the fleeing Mastermind who had defeated the Avengers and multiple villains and picked him up to return to the club. On the way they accepted his request to join. This reality was experienced by Mastermind of the Prime Marvel Universe as paranoid delusions caused by the Black Queen.
