History

Bastion and his army of Nimrod Sentinels invaded the X-Men's island home of Utopia in order to eliminate the mutant messiah Hope Summers and the rest of the mutant race.

He was able to hack into and clone the X-Men's island technology, which included their defenses, power grid and the reprogramming of fellow X-Men Danger's hard-light systems which he used to duplicate multiple holographic versions of Danger to attack the X-Men with. Despite this, they won the final battle with Hope taking down Bastion once and for all.

Desperate to avert the dark future he believed Hope would bring about, Bastion used to his final words to warn Beast about a special time and place - May 4, 2039, Golden Gate park, when Kavita Rao and the X-Club would arrive in the future, hoping Beast would seek her aid in stopping Hope.
