Synopsis for "Run. As Fast as You Can."

Urich continued telling the story of his life during the invasion. Thirty-five minutes after the invasion started, a disguised Skrull looked at Urich before the latter attempted to call his wife. As Molly approached Urich, the disguised Skrull revealed himself and caused an explosion that seemingly killed Molly.

Then, Officer Bill Dawson of the NYPD told Urich his story. Earlier, Dawson and other police officers were informed of the Hood making a move for territory and the Rolling Sevens gang causing trouble. Dawson recalled that on the morning of the invasion, a Nova Skrull appeared in front of him, near Stark Tower. The Skrull injured Dawson before he was saved by a woman named Lisa. Then, they heard screaming and explosions from inside of Stark Tower, as it locked down.

Inside of Stark Tower, Vincent, Melanie, and others made plans to escape. Back outside, Jonathan abandoned his taxi after being surrounded by Skrulls, then the Young Avengers appeared in front of him and fought the Skrulls. When Dawson and Lisa approached a bus, its driver asked the former for help before running away. When Dawson and Lisa entered the bus and offered to help the passengers, Skrulls surrounded the bus and brought back the driver.

Vincent, Melanie, and the others trapped in Stark Tower, walked down the stairway before someone called out to them and Vincent decided to investigate while Melanie stayed behind. Then, Vincent told the others to come down and that somebody was only playing a trick on them. As they kept moving, there was a Skrull in a nearby room with several dead people.

Notes

  • The Skrull language can be deciphered with translations seen in Secret Invasion #5. Most of the hidden Skrull dialogue in this series seems to be placeholder text from the script. In this issue the lines appear to be especially fragmented, "(skrull font gibb statem.", "skr berish ques", "ll fo gibberis response.#&%", and "(skrull font gibber stateme"
