Synopsis for "God of Fear, God of War: Part 2"
Osborn shoots Nick Fury, much to the disapproval of Ares, as he needed Fury to find his son. Then suddenly, Fury's chest opens, revealing him to be a Life Model Decoy, with Phobos as the pilot.
In Alexandria, Virgina, Johnathan Garrett has brought a coffee and bagel to the real Fury. The latter debriefs him on the info on Seth Waters, an ex-S.H.I.E.L.D. now with the Department of Treasury, who he learned was compromised in a HYDRA database he found. Garrett asked why they are here, as he is 90% robotic and asked Fury why he brought him out of retirement; Fury answers that they are spies, who don't get to retire. He tells Garrett that he is to meet Waters and determine if he is HYDRA or not.
An hour previously, in New York, outside Fury Secret Base Vol 1 20 Homerun in Yankee Stadium, Hellfire and Eden are waiting for Phobos' signal. Just then, an explosion comes from the building. They then disguise themselves as H.A.M.M.E.R. soldiers, killing Osborn's escorts before holding Hawkeye and Ares at gunpoint, just as Phobos expected. Ares demands to his son as to what he has been doing; Alexander refuses to disclose anything. Osborn then realizes that he is with Fury and tries bribing him into revealing Fury's real location; Phobos outright refuses. Osborn warn him that Fury will be dead one day or another. The God of Fear responds by using his powers to inflict Osborn with the fear that he will loses his mind sooner or later; this makes his father smile. Hawkeye then decides that enough is enough and throttles Eden, only for Ares to stop him. He allows his son and comrades a head start. Getting back to his feet, Osborn yells at Ares for letting them go and swears to kill them all.
Back at Inside Straight, Slingshot has new robotic prosthetics to replace the arms she lost because of Gorgon. Then suddenly, the perimeter alarm sounds. A screen shows Hellfire, Phobos and Eden being chased by Osborn, Hawkeye, Ares and H.A.M.M.E.R. Already, the base's self-destruct starts.
