Synopsis for "To Begin The World Over Again: Part One"

The Chipped Cup Diner, in Mott Haven, The Bronx. It is after the takeover, and Quake, AKA Daisy Johnson, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., is waiting tensely. She is accosted by a pair of other agents, who insinuate that she is hiding something, as she led a team on a mission, from which only she emerged alive... and that she has not reported in for debriefing. Quake attempts to pull rank on the agents, saying that she is taking a "personal day", but the agents refuse to leave. One of them, Agent Schauer, spells his position out: America has been taken over by Hydra, and now S.H.I.E.L.D. has new masters and new goals. They have been tasked with putting Daisy through a loyalty test back at HQ... but when Schauer insinuates that something untoward has happened to her friend Phil Coulson, she incapacitates both agents, pays for her coffee, and leaves.

A back road in New Jersey. A convoy of Hydra trucks just got held up by a downed tree. The gunmen in the trucks are wondering if someone is moving against them, when one of the trucks is capsized by a localized earthquake. Shocked, the gunmen fire into the trees, only to be decimated by, in short order, a figure slinging force-blasts, a being that stretches like a shadow, and a hellishly-red dinosaur. Panicking, the gunmen are swiftly defeated.

A Helicarrier floating above Annapolis. It was before the takeover, and during a routine briefing about some possible Leviathan bases, Captain America, head of S.H.I.E.L.D., came and tasked Quake and her Moth Squadron - the latest iteration of the "Caterpillar" program - with a specific mission.

A back road in New Jersey. Quake steps out to greet her back-up - Ms. Marvel, Moon Girl, and Devil Dinosaur. With S.H.I.E.L.D. acting for the government, Ms Marvel doesn't know if she can trust Quake, but has a simple test - Devil Dinosaur sniffs her, and seems to approve.

That done, the group get down to the issue at hand: Quake had been tracking convoys running Inhuman detainees to a location in New Jersey, and she wanted to bust this one open to find one specific inmate. He is instrumental to her mission: she wants to make HYDRA afraid again.

A warehouse in Baltimore Harbor. It was before the takeover, and Moth Squadron was hard at work while grumbling at being given a lesser case. As they laughed at the notion that Captain America had an ulterior motive for putting them here, the team was ambushed by the Wrecking Crew. As agents died, Slingshot, acting fast, pulled Quake out of the building before going back for survivors... too late. The only survivor, Quake was forced to use her vibration powers to bring the building down on the villains to cover her escape.

A back road in New Jersey. The man Quake was searching for is not on the truck, so she goes to storm the location. Inferno, who was on the truck, adds his disagreement to Ms Marvel & Moon Girl, asking to help her. Quake reluctantly agrees.

A New York subway carriage, on the southbound leg of the 6th Avenue Express. It was before the takeover, and Quake is having a meeting with Phil Coulson. Quake was sure that Captain America set her up to fail, but Coulson asked her to stay underground. Between the impending Chitauri invasion, the wake of the Inhuman/mutant conflict, an international incident in Sokovia, and sporadic Hydra sightings in New Jersey, it felt like something big was about to happen, and so Coulson arranged to meet her at a certain diner in Mott Haven in three days time. Before leaving, Coulson advised her: "Don't do anything stupid until you talk to me."

From the back road, Quake and the others trace the convoy route to a large prison camp for Inhumans, being run by Hydra. As the group argues about the best way to sneak past the guards, they suddenly realize that Moon Girl is distracting the guards with requests for help finding her "big and red" dog. When the guards notice the others anyway, Devil Dinosaur attacks, distracting them further.

Quake's group makes short work of the guards, freeing many prisoners, but while the rest of the group goes to hold the gate, Quake ducks down a side passage to find an Inhuman guarded by other Inhumans: Magister Karnak, the ranking member of the Inhuman Royal Family on Earth. She says she needs his skills to find the weaknesses in the new regime. Karnak admits that this is noble, but points out that Inhumans are a dying people, and the United States is tearing itself apart. If he stays, he will be afforded basic provision, and can right himself spiritually.

Moon Girl, who followed Quake, introduces herself at this point. The sight of the young Inhuman galvanizes Karnak to join the struggle, but says that the one man they truly need has already been detained by the X-Men...
