History

Senator Boyton and Edwin Cord agreed to complete Project Firepower and eliminate Iron Man.

He and some men from the Defense Department convinced Tony Stark to help destroy Iron Man, inadvertently giving away an ambush that they have set for Iron Man using Firepower.

After some follow-up tests on the Firepower armor, Boynton and General Meade wanted to take custody of the armor, but Cord refused to give it to them, menacing to tell people how Firepower was conceived as the ultimate weapon in riot control, to be used against citizens in cases of extreme civil disorder.
