Solicit Synopsis
• What is the fate of SHE-HULK and JACK OF HEARTS?!
• Their love has blossomed over the last two years of this She-Hulk story, but this issue will define it for the future!Notes
- Titania, Volcana and The Thing, from Punch Club, are depicted on the cover, but don't show up in the story.
- As with previous issues, Iron Man is shown in his Iron Man Armor Model 70, which poses a continuity mistake as, by the time Captain Marvel was sporting her new costume and the Avengers' HQ was in the Impossible City, Iron Man had already been using the Mark Nil,[1] or the Model 72.[2]
- She-Hulk (Vol. 4) #1 had previously established Book Law as being in Chelsea, while this issue appears to suggest it is in fact located in West Village, the adjacent neighborhood.
- After his resurrection in 2011's Marvel Zombies Supreme #2 and his appearance during 2022's Reckoning War, Jack of Hearts finally meets the Avengers again for the first time during this issue, as they learn of his return.
- Jack was an official Avenger from Avengers (Vol. 3) #43 until his death in Avengers (Vol. 3) #76, having been teammates with everyone on this roster.
- Jack has an awkward time with the Avengers:
- He first met Iron Man in the pages of Iron Man #103, but, despite being one of his oldest acquaintances, Jack doesn't have the best relationship with him, because of the time he was forced to spend in isolation in the Zero Room.[3][4]
- The Scarlet Witch runs from him in shame of the time she brought him back as a zombie to blow up Avengers Mansion, as seen in Avengers #500.
- Thor also avoids Jack, due to his romantic relationship with She-Hulk for most part of Avengers (Vol. 8).
- "Eat Cake in Fancy Dresses Wednesday" returns after being introduced in She-Hulk (Vol. 4) #6 and appearing again in She-Hulk (Vol. 4) #13.
