History

The Serpent Society had held some civilians hostage and fought the Avengers. The fight was put on hold when Ant-Man attempted to appeal to their human sides, but they believed that Madame Hydra and Hydra had been coming, so they attacked anyway. The Society fled after losing the battle.

After the Skrull invasion of Earth, the Serpent Society successfully freed Viper and King Cobra from S.H.I.E.L.D. custody after a sewer battle with Captain America and Spider-Man. Once the sewer began to crumble, the Society retreated.
