History
Origins[]
Set-Dagon and his people were part of a race of serpent-fish-men spawned by their ancestors, the Elder God Set and the god Dagon.[3][2] They resided in an unidentified dimension.[3]
Modern Age[]
By the Modern Age, Set-Dagon seemingly led his people.[1]
As his friend Dr. Hammond was dying, Morbius used the Vaal Talisman to steal mystic powers from Doctor Strange, along with a rub of the Darkhold, and consequently accidentally enabled Set-Dagon and his people to invade Earth. Set-Dagon and his brethren tried to dispel other mystical barriers in order for the forces of darkness to overrun the Earth dimension.
While Strange and Spider-Man were looking for Morbius from the Sanctum Sanctorum, the serpent-fish-men attacked them. They managed to escape the sanctum, only to be captured in the street. While Set-Dagon tortured them, Spider-Man finally managed to mystically locate Morbius, and the pair escaped to his location, which was also attacked by the serpent-fish-men. Spider-Man managed to destroy the Vaal Talisman, returning his powers to Strange who banished the interlopers back to their dimension.[1]Paraphernalia
