History

Set's history on Earth-9151 diverged from that of his Earth-616 counterpart when, following a series of disasters, the Avengers and other heroes of Earth failed to stop his cultists from summoning him to the Earth.

Having already devoured the Thing and incinerated Doctor Strange, Set rampaged across Lemuria, slaying many of the Avengers as well as his own followers, showing no loyalty to those foolish enough to worship the elder god. Facing little opposition, Set went on to contaminate Earth's water supply, quickly transforming almost all of humanity into mindless Serpent-Men.

A handful of heroes would survive and continue to oppose Set; most posed little threat to the god or his army of serpent slaves. After incinerating a defiant Doctor Doom, Set faced off against Rachel Summers (Earth-9151), killing her and absorbing most of the energy of the Phoenix. Thor and the Silver Surfer would each succeed in slaying one of the god's seven heads, though each would perish in the battle.

With no other heroes surviving, the wounded Set would face his final adversary – Quasar, empowered by the Uni-Power and wielding Strange's Eye of Agamotto. Sacrificing himself to end the god's onslaught, Quasar allowed himself and Set to be sucked into the Eye of Agamotto, where they would battle for all eternity.[1]
