History

Seth, the Egyptian God of Death, organized the Soldiers of the Serpent as his agents in New York. He delivered a brutal beating to Spider-Girl several times when they met, prompting her to seek the assistance of the Avengers. After the sum total of all of New York heroes (minus Spider-Girl) gathered at Avengers Mansion, however, Seth sealed the mansion behind an impenetrable barrier. Spider-Girl was the last hero standing to oppose Seth. Despite being hopelessly outclassed in terms of power, Spider-Girl distracted and antagonized Seth long enough to weaken his force field, letting the other heroes come to her rescue.
