Seti II also known as Sety II was the fifth pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty of Egypt.

History

Seti II ruled Egypt for a short time but his reign was challenged by his brother Araamses, Priest of the Jackal headed god; Anubis. Following his death Araamses tried to seize the Pharaoh's throne, but was captured and buried alive in Set's tomb.

Seti II was buried in a tomb built in what is now modern day Sudan.

Legacy

Dr. Peter Alraune, a noted archaeologist and his daughter Marlene Alraune spent five years searching for Ancient Egyptian artefacts on the Sudan/Egypt border. It was near the town of Selima, they discovered the Tomb of Pharaoh Seti. It was in the tomb they met a injured mercenary Marc Spector who was inspired by the Statue of Khonshu to take up the identity of "Moon Knight" the champion of Khonshu.
