History
Severith was once in charge of Hell's laboratories and conducted experiments for Mephisto. He created what he claimed to be his finest creation, the Hell Hulk, but upon its awakening nearly killed Mephisto in a fit rage until Bagra-ghul was summoned to stop him. After Bagra-ghul cut the Hell Hulk into pieces, which were still alive, Mephisto ordered him to scatter the body parts throughout Earth. Severith was infuriated over the desecration of his work. Severith was tortured by Mephisto as punishment, which made him plot to kill the king of Hell.[1]
For he revenge against Mephisto, Severith needed to restore the Hell Hulk and joined Project Hellfire as their new chief analyst and manipulated them into collecting the Hell Hulk's body parts, which were causing those within rage to fall into uncontrollable rages and violence. Severith also helped recruit Hellverine into helping them by attempting to befriend the demon-possessed mutant. After the Hell Hulk was reassembled, Severith made his move. He ambushed Hellverine while he was recovering from being exposed for too long to the Hell Hulk's energy, confessing his role in creating the demon and sealed Hellverine within a stone prison to prevent him from interfering. Severeth then awakened the Hell Hulk him destroying the Pentangle and nearly killing the Destroyers. Severith then put the Hell Hulk under his thrall and loaded him onto an armored truck, which he drove through Washington, D.C.. The energies from the Hell Hulk drove the populace insane, resulting in the deaths of thousands.[2] Severith traveled to Hell's Backbone in Utah, where he planned to use the Hell Hulk to lure Mephisto to Earth—where he will be weaker—and kill him.[3] Using the Hell Hulk as a conduit, Seveirth opened a gateway to Hell and summoned a horde of demons, but was confronted by Mephisto and Hellverine, who formed a temporary truce to stop him. Severith restrained Hellverine with magic and extracted Bagra-ghul from his body to kill him while the Hell Hulk viciously attacked Mephisto. However, Severith was stopped by the Destroyers and Aurora while Mephisto captured the Hell Hulk and dragged him back to his realm. Hellverine re-absorbed Bagra-ghul and burned Severith to death with hellfire.[4]Attributes
