History
Shamahs was the warrior-son of Mitra.
Though the Hyborians didn't usually carved images of Mitra out of sublime respect, at least not in their capitals, statues of Shamahs loomed above shrines at the fringes of the Western Kingdoms.
During the Age of Conan, one such existed in Venarium, an Aquilonian outpost in Cimmeria. It was toppled over soldiers of the garrison by young Conan during the Battle of Venarium, and was shattered in the process.[1]
Notes
Shamahs was possibly derivated from Shamash, a Mesopotamian god also existing in Marvel Comics and in the Hyborian Age.
