Synopsis for "The Killing Season Part Four"
Shanna, Doc and Hardy had reached the bio-engineering lab and as they were trying to gain entrance Shanna just kicked the metal door down. It was a large complex able to house 200 people complete with its own generator, and presumably fuel reserves for generators, as the lights were on, and complete with a large Nazi flag. According to Dr Elsa's instructions they found the antidote rather quickly, They also found some dynamite and a Jeep with gasoline that they could use to get back to those who were ill with the virus. As they were leaving Shanna found an incubator and suspended in the fluid was one who looked like her, and according to Doc it was her dead genetically bred sister. Doc could only imagine what Shanna must be thinking with the realization that she was a genetic experiment, a fighting machine designed for one purpose--warfare. Doc comments that the human body is a self righting thing and he truly believes " that humanity is a thing that you cannot breed out or bury. you are who you choose to be." He believes that Shanna walks a fine line between humanity and cold genetic programming.
Beginning their trip back through the jungle, the vehicle is stuck, and Shanna is trying to help get the Jeep out. In the open clearing, without warning, the T Rex appears again and munches Hardy. Doc recognizes it as the same one because it still had the lance or a spear that Shanna had placed in its thorax. Shanna rescues Doc and they tumble together down a hill and a face to breast encounter of another unexpected thorax occurs. Shanna quickly tells Doc to return for the gun while she actually Jumps into the mouth of the Tyrannosaurus Rex and is able to resist the huge mandibular muscles, and is even able to land a forceful kick into his dark prehistoric mouth. Doc realizes that in every darkness there's a light, and he notices the dynamite and also "for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction." He throws the dynamite attached to a leather cord that wraps itself around the T Rex's neck and then blows its head off in the explosion. It falls off the cliff with the spear still in its chest, but decapitated, and into some water below.
