Synopsis for "The Killing Season Chapter Seven"
Everyone that's left alive is thanking God for the antidote and Shanna's arrival. They say she did the right thing about Doc. (Prior to her arrival there was a valley of raptors descending upon them and Doc's leg was trapped under a boulder. He did not want to die by the raptors and requested that Shanna kill him.) After she finished the immunizations, she scaled the fence and ran out to the bridge to dynamite the crossings so the raptors couldn't get to the camp. The dynamite was not successful in blowing up the large timber crossing, but she scaled a tree while those alive at the camp shot at some of the oncoming raptors. And with a great demonstration of super-human strength and a tremendous leg press between the fork of a tree, she broke off the large trunk that fell on to the already damaged bridge with the raptors falling into the river below.
She made it back to the camp and crouched down in the corner of the log fortified room. While looking at Doc's stethoscope, there were tears welling up in her eyes and she says “I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." In comes Doc on some crutches with an above the knee amputation on the right and still fresh with blood stains on the dressing. Doc tells her “You made the right choice.” Which implies she didn't take his life, and in a split second decided the correct course of action. He states that he was proud of her. It is surprising that she exclaims " you're all right." A loving embrace and a tender moment in Shanna saying she was “so afraid,” but in Doc's medical log he states everything was going to be all right.
