History

Shari Sebbens was a detective with the NYPD. After Spider-Man rescued her husband and daughter, she collaborated with him on a few occasions, even when her superiors at the 5th Precinct Station House were against it.

Some time later, she worked with Forensic Scientist Carlie Cooper to investigate the mysterious dead body found in one of Miles Warren's secret labs. During her investigation, she teamed up with Sha Shan Nguyen, who was searching for her missing friends from the Coffee Bean and was suspicious of her college Raymond Warren--Miles' brother--due to his recent change in behavior. Believing Raymond was a clone created by Miles, they tracked him down to the Arcadium and discovered that Sha Shan's friends had been taken there. They helped the two Spider-Men subdue the Jackal and his clones, and Sebbens arrested and unmasked Jackal, revealing himself to be Raymond. However, Sebbens deduced that "Raymond" was in fact Miles, who had murdered and impersonated his older brother. After Miles was taken away by the police, Sebbens and Nguyen helped escort the Arcadium's victims back to the Coffee Bean.
