Shawna Lynde is a physician who used to be Donald Blake's classmate. At one point they renewed acquaintance while Blake had recently lost his job and Lynde was living in Chicago.
This led to Donald Blake and his alter ego Thor moving to Chicago and operating from there for a time. Shawna Lynde and Donald Blake became close friends during that period, and may have developed some measure of affection towards each other.
