History
Long before Shemenon's birth, the mightiest of mages came to Atlantis, opened a gateway to Hell and used it to summon demons and terrorize the population, and eventually left, summoning back the demons and sealing the gateway with gems fused into one solid mass.
Shemenon's human form
Several centuries later, and centuries before the Age of Kull, Shemenon was the greatest warrior of Thurania. The cruel king of Thurania learned of a great treasure on Atlantis. He summoned Shemenon and ordered him to retrieve it, and took Shemenon's wife Byrana as hostage.
Shemenon sailed to Atlantis, found the cave, and the treasure. Seizing the fused gems, he open the gateway and was taken by demons. Hell's inferno fused Shemenon's flesh with the gems, thus sealing the tunnel once again.[3]
According to the Lorkars, Shemenon was once a mortal, which was transformed upon his death in a supernatural being of flame and frost by an unknown abomination which first murmured his name, making him a god. Shemenon laid dormant for centuries.
Circa 18,500 BC, he was resurrected, and loosed monsters from Hell upon the world, including winged demons and the unknown abomination.[1]Attributes
