Sheriff Studdard was the popular yet extremely intolerant head of the Daly County Police Department. Ever since his election, hate crimes skyrocketed in Daly County.
When the Champions caught notice of the hate crime wave in Daly County, they confronted Sheriff Studdard after saving some innocent people trapped in a burning mosque. Viv recovered an incendiary device inside the mosque, and once she analysed it, she found out it was a bomb originally impounded by Studdard's department. Studdard tried to claim the fragments as evidence, but Viv refused.
Sheriff Studdard later berated Deputy Sims for the presence of the Champions on the roof of his precinct.[1]
