Synopsis for "The Siege of Asgard-Intercepted"

At the White House, the President is being briefed by the National Security Council on Norman Osborn's ongoing Siege of Asgard. Unfortunately, in this situation, the government would send in the Avengers, but Osborn's Avengers are the primary attack force, which includes H.A.M.M.E.R. and the entirety of the Initiative. The President orders the army to arrest Osborn and his team, when he is informed of a new development: Captain America and Nick Fury just arrived on the scene, leading their own team of Avengers.

At the battlefield, Captain America gives the rally cry of "Avengers Assemble", throwing his shield at Osborn. Balder proudly welcome Thor's allies help. While the Avengers fight it out with the Dark Avengers, Thor goes for the Sentry, but he takes every hit like they're nothing. Just then, the Hood appears with his gang, summoned by Loki. Meanwhile, Speed rushes through Broxton, carrying a suitcase given by Jarvis, when Maria Hill threatens to shoot him. Speed explains that Captain America sent him with something for Tony Stark. Stark tells Maria to let him in.

At this point, the United States military is ready to begin carpet bombing the area, but the President isn't willing to endanger the people fighting for them. One of his advisers states that Osborn not only declared war on Asgard, but on America itself. Therefore, the President orders that Captain America's Avengers be left to the ground battle, while the Air Force takes down H.A.M.M.E.R. Helicarrier. With such unexpectedness, Victoria Hand orders the crew to abandon ship.

As Osborn fight Captain America, trying to declare that he is under arrest for treason, he learns that his armor is shutting down, and sees Iron Man in his Mark IV armor, telling him the Iron Patriot armor is about to shut down, given that it is his technology. With everything collapsing around him, Osborn, refusing to let the Avengers win, orders the Sentry to "bring it down". The Sentry flies through Asgard and levels the city, bringing it down to the ground. As Thor looks in horror, the Iron Patriot armor falls off of Osborn-revealing that Osborn has painted his face green and his teeth yellow, effectively becoming the Green Goblin again.
