In fall 2023, Lilia Calderu was hired to read palms at William Kaplan's Bar Mitzvah, where she saw Billy's future and cast a sigil on him[2] without his knowledge to conceal his identity from witch folk.[3]
Agatha Harkness first noticed the sigil when "Teen" introduced himself to her and again when asking him about his past. She then prevented him from trying to speak his name to other witches.[4] However, once on the Witches' Road, Lilia Calderu, Jennifer Kale, and Alice Wu-Gulliver all quickly discovered his sigil and suspected Agatha.[1]
After Agatha deduced his true identity and he revealed the extent of his powers, Billy was able to destroy the sigil, meaning that any witch with a beating heart can now hear his true name.[2]Properties
