Notes
- Sigurd of Vanaheim was created by L. Sprague de Camp and Lin Carter in Conan of the Isles (1968), adapted in Conan the Barbarian Annual #7 (1982) and Marvel Graphic Novel #42; Conan of the Isles (1988), and in Conan the Buccaneer (1971), adapted in Savage Sword of Conan #40–43 (May to August, 1979).
- The Appendix to the Handbook of the Marvel Universe mentions that Sigurd might have inspired in part Fafnir, another Vanirman ally of Conan.[5]
- In "The Necromancers of Na'at" (Conan the Savage #10, May, 1996), the adaptation of "Necromancy in Naat" by Clark Ashton Smith, Sigurd holds for a few pages the role of a black cannibal of Naat given in sacrifice to Esrit.
