Synopsis for "Personal Stakes"

In Symkaria, Silver Sable tests several candidates to join the Wild Pack, and decides to accept Doug Powell. Shortly afterward, Hydra hijacks the Cranewood School for Girls, unaware that Silver's relative Anna is there. Silver goes to save Anna,[Continuity 1] especially since Hydra's leader in that operation is her own ex-lover Dmitri Petrovitch.[Continuity 2] Silver finds Spider-Man, who had gone there to cover the news in her civilian identity of press photographer Peter Parker, but she finds him too undisciplined to easily collaborate with her military style. Several members of the Wild Pack decide to go AWOL to collaborate with Silver, and they do help against Hydra, but she punishes them with fines and docked salary for acting without permission.

Solicit Synopsis

Silver Sable - who first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #265 (reprinted this month) - now stars in her very own ongoing monthly series! Silver Sable and the Wild Pack are a group of top mercenaries whose members include Paladin, Torpedo, Sandman, and the Absorbing Man. Every assignment undertaken by the group is matched to the unique abilities of the team members chosen to handle the task at hand. In this debut issue, Sable's niece is held hostage by a group of terrorists at her school, and a certain wall-crawler shows up to lend a hand in the operation! As an added bonus, this premiere issue features a silver foil-stamped cover!

Notes

  • Embossed and silver foil stamped cover.
