Synopsis for "The Corrupt Pulpit"

Talking to assassin and crimelord Foreigner, who is also her ex-husband, Silver gets clues as to who is behind the attacks on Smithfield; the Foreigner decides to kill Chesterfield before Silver even discovers that Chesterfield is her enemy; however, Gattling continues his plan to kill Smithfield and take revenge on Silver. The African American superhero Battlestar offers his help against the Watchdogs, because he has experience against these racist criminals; but Silver is reluctant to accept him. Silver then arranges some operations telephonically from the Wild Pack's base in the United States, the Symkarian Embassy, [Continuity 1][Continuity 2] which is then attacked by Watchdogs attempting to free their colleagues; but Silver concludes that the Watchdogs are merely hired hitmen. The Wild Pack confronts Gattling and Battlestar's selfless help is vital to stopping him; after this, Silver hires him for Wild Pack.

Notes

Continuity Notes[]

  1. On the telephone, Silver mentions how she would be "back in Symkaria for Victor's dinner". She is talking about a diplomatic dinner with Victor von Doom (Doctor Doom) which we will see in Silver Sable and the Wild Pack #4.
  2. Also on the telephone, Silver sends Paladin after her enemy Dmitri. Silver had confronted Dmitri in Silver Sable and the Wild Pack #1, who had left the United States. She will think about that in Silver Sable and the Wild Pack #4, and Paladin will later find Dmitri in South America in Silver Sable and the Wild Pack #6.
