Synopsis for "A Second Chance"
Brief Summary:
The Silver Surfer is surprised that Drax the Destroyer has found him on Dynamo City. Eager to use Drax's power to escape, he agrees to go with him to Titan. However, since Drax doesn't realize that the Surfer has lost his powers, he flies off without him. The Surfer is determined to meet with the Great I, but the leader of Dynamo City is behind a high level of security. He agrees to do another deal with the Sensory Stimulation Network and is hooked up to the city's power grid to put on a light show. The Surfer uses this temporary power to crash into the Great I's headquarters. He finds the entity, but is shocked to find it unresponsive. He is arrested for the invasion and is dragged off to be terminated.
Detailed Summary:
The Silver Surfer is discussing with his new friend, Zeaklar, how he can escape Dynamo City when they suddenly see explosions in the distance. Something powerful is destroying the robot guards and it turns out it's Drax the Destroyer. Convinced that Thanos is still alive, Drax has tracked down the Surfer and wants him to return to Titan with him. The Surfer is happy to see Drax and agrees to his plan, however Drax flies off without him, not realizing that the Surfer is trapped on Dynamo City.
Determined to find a way out, the Silver Surfer decides to find the Great I, who runs Dynamo City, and appeal to him for help. Since the Great I is protected by a high level of security, the Surfer needs to find a way to force his way in. He has to be careful, though, because he's already had three offenses and the fourth one results in termination.
The Silver Surfer learns of another way to earn credits and to temporarily repossess his Power Cosmic. The Sensory Stimulation Network pays energy casters to hook them up to Dynamo City's energy grid and put on a light show. The Surfer agrees to do this and uses the energy to propel himself into the Great I's headquarters. He finds the Great I, but is shocked to find a nonresponsive entity who is unable to offer the Surfer any kind of assistance.
The robots guards subdue the Silver Surfer and arrest him for his invasion of the Great I. Since this is his fourth offense, he is dragged off to be terminated. Zeaklar tries to prevent them from taking the Surfer away and also gets arrested for his fourth offense.
