Simon Marshall was a stage actor in King James' England. After his fellow actress Tandy Bowen convinced William Shakespeare to let Ty Johnson play Romeo to her Juliet, Marshall became jealous of him. Simon swapped the stage poison for a real deal, which Johnson as Romeo drank during the play's last act. The brew transformed Johnson into a creature of shadow, but then Bowen rushed to him and kisses him, stabilizing his new state and gaining a power of her own. Bowen proclaimed Johnson to be a sheath to her dagger, after which he teleported them away while Marshall withered away and perished.[1]
