Overview[]
Sleepy Hollow was a village in the town of Mount Pleasant, in Westchester County, New York. The village was located on the east bank of the Hudson River, about 30 miles north of New York City. To the south was Tarrytown, and to the north and east were unincorporated parts of Mount Pleasant.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow[]
The tale tells the story of Ichabod Crane and his hapless attempt to win the heart and hand of Katrina Van Tassel in the context of a comical ghost story. He was however frightened away by the Headless Horseman.[1] The tale was later written down into the story by famed author Washington Irving.[2]
20th Century[]
World War II[]
During the 1940's it appeared that the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow was terrorizing the town again, the ghost pf Paul Revere was summoned by John Liberty to investigate the murder of his former college dean Hendrick Vermeer. Revere aided Major Victory in revealing that the Horseman was in reality Hendrick's nephew Peter who sought to obtain his uncle's estate to pay off his gambling debts.[3]
Return of the Headless Horseman[]
A man tried to get rid of his rival by frightening him as the Headless Horseman, but the other guy has the same idea and succeeds in getting his rival committed to an asylum. The real Headless Horseman shows up to punish him.[1]

Venom as a child was scared by the story of the Headless Horseman from "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"[4]
