History

Smedley was hired by Wilson Fisk, alias the Kingpin, in case of emergency. His DNA was modified and dental appliances altered to be an exact copy of his. Smedley was given all he could eat, a TV, and video games, until Spider-Man attacked Shadowland and he had to be killed by Wilson so that his corpse is found and allows him to go underground.
