History

Sobunar was a member of the Great Ring of Arakko. The third of his name, Sobunar came from a line of aquatic mutants.[1]

The Great Ring[]

During the terraforming of Mars, Sobunar provided some of his blood to give the planet oceans with the aid of Hope Summers and Monarch.[2] When the Great Ring voted whether to return to Amenth and wage war against the Daemons, or to remain in peace on their new planet, Sobunar voted for peace.[1]

Sobunar would fight to protect Arakko during his world's war against the Mad Titan Uranos, using the creatures of the ocean sprung from his bloodtsream to fight against the mutant turncoat Isca the Unbeaten.[3]

Later, during the war between the forces of Storm and Genesis for dominion over Arakko, Sobunar would side with Genesis, his judgement seemingly warped by Annihilation, the demonic entity that gave Genesis most of her power.[4] He would seemingly serve as her second-in-command, his control over the seas offering their army territorial and mobility advantages.[5]

From the Ashes[]

After Genesis' loss, Sobunar would move to Earth, taking a leading role in New York's subterranean Mutant community, the Morlocks.[6]
