History

Garrison Kane came to see Hammer in South Stickney, who lived with his mother, and she was taking care of him since he appeared to be a quadriplegic.

A short time later, Domino and Grizzly arrived at the home of their old teammate, Hammer, needing his help in finding X-Force. Hammer refused at first after learning that they had anything to do with Cable. He then eventually agreed when he learned that it would help keep Cable's legacy alive.
