History
The Space Lock was a Rigellian space station that was used to seize worlds that were claimed by a Rigellian colonizer. It fired a beam that could reach intergalactic ranges, which completely encircled a planet so that they could remove the world from its orbit. With it they could take it out of it's solar system, move the planet closed enough to a star to be scorched by solar flares or take it so far into the void that it experienced new ice age. The speed that the planet traveled under a space lock could also be adjusted.[1]
