History

Hobie Brown aka Spider-Punk operated as musician and protector of the New York City along with the company of his super-powered friends, such as Captain Anarchy, Robbie Banner and RiotHeart. They were responsible for defeating President Osborn and his VENOM-enhanced army, the Annihilation Wave, the Universal Church of Truth and even Kang the Conglomerator from the future.

After some of his enemies took to calling him "Spider-Punk", Hobie only leaned more into the punk theme. During the fight against Kraven he first tried using the name "Spider-Band" for himself, Karl and Riri, but it didn't take at first. However, after they were joined by Kamala Khan and discovered a secret network of Osborn's surveillance bases that all fed into the hub in Washington, D.C., it became apparent that the problem had to be stopped at the source. Accepting the name Spider-Band for themselves, the others set out on tour for D.C. in the Spider-Van, leaving Robbie behind to watch out for their base.

Along the way they battled Marauders and Kingpin alongside Daredevil Drummer of Philly. Upon arrival in D.C. however, they were shocked to find out Osborn himself still alive and waiting for them. Having walked into a trap, they were subdued by Osborn, Officer Venom, War Sentry and Ta$kma$ter and prepared them the public execution. However, the event was interrupted by timely arrival of the Mattea and Robbie, who freed their friends and helped them turn the tide. Together, they took down Osborn once again, officially welcomed Mattea into their ranks and declared that Spider-Band's first tour was dope.
