Synopsis for "Buried Alive!"

Spider-Girl responds to a car wreck and tries to save the injured driver. Downed electrical wires mean paramedics cannot get close until the electric company cuts the power. They warn Spider-Girl to leave him where he is until they get a neck brace on him, but her spider sense warns her that the car is about to explode. She uses webbing to brace his neck, and pulls the driver to safety just in time.

After, Spider-Girl's spider sense guides her to a rooftop, where she could tell Kaine was spying on her. He offers congratulations on her rescue, and bids her to stick to saving civilians while he and Weadon's team focus on taking Black Tarantula and Lady Octopus. Spider-Girl boasts that she will deliver both villains to Weadon, to Kaine's amusement. DarkDevil arrives, though, and supports Spider-Girl as someone not to be underestimated. Both men note the dissheveled look of Spider-Girl's costume, but begin to argue with each other about Spider-Girl's involvement versus the villains. Spider-Girl bails on them, calling their argument 'playground histrionics.'

At Nelson and Associates, Franklin Nelson goes through the legality of Elan DeJunae's supposed marriage to Normie. Apprently their parents arranged their marriage when they were toddlers, but they have not seen each other since. Nelson doubts the marriage would be recognized by a legal authority, while Elan tries to bait Normie into accepting it. Normie takes a call from Spider-Girl, and explains they are trying to sort out the marriage situation.

May thinks about how Normie's girlfriend Brenda will react when she finds out. At school, she enlists the help of Felicity Hardy to scour the internet for information about Lady Octopus and Elan DeJunae. In return, Felicity asks a favor: she wants May to rejoin the basketball team, to help her father, Coach Thompson; he could lose his job if the team doesn't snap its losing streak. May says Felicity knows why she cannot: her super powers give her an unfair advantage. Felicity counters that sometimes, the ends do justify the means.

Elsewhere, the narration shifts to third person as Canis is depicted in jail. Canis has learned since he was last seen that he cannot run a criminal empire from jail like Wilson Fisk once did, after all. His days have become merely dodging attempts on his life. But someone drops a mobile phone in his cell, and the voice on the end has a proposal for him...

Peter Parker affirms May's choice to quit the basketball team at the dinner table later on. Her parents both hope she can relax and enjoy watching the basketball game as a spectator - she needs a break from hero stuff. Later, at the game, May has to endure watching her team fail, while getting dirty looks from Felicity. As her friends file out of the gym after a crushing Midtown loss, Brad Miller saying someone needs to 'step up' and help the team seems passive aggressively directed at May.

Elsewhere, as Canis is being transported for a court appearance, Lady Octopus attacks his escort and liberates him.

Chesbro calls the Spider-Girl mobile phone and alerts her that Lady Octopus has formed an alliance with Canis, and freed him from custody. May gets into costume and heads to the site of the police van attack. It leads her into a sewer, where she narrates that she uses her spider-sense like a 'Geiger counter' to track Lady Octopus and Canis.

After a short battle, Lady Octopus collapses the ceiling of the sewer and buries Spider-Girl in rubble. For a time, Spider-Girl is trapped, and as she struggles to find her way out, thinks on all of the little ways she has let people down. She knows if she cannot find a way out of the collapsed sewer, she will die. She snaps herself awake when she nearly falls asleep, and hears someone trying to rescue her from above - DarkDevil.

Back to his old self, DarkDevil condescends to Spider-Girl on a rooftop shortly after for thinking she could take Lady Octopus. She recalls DarkDevil saying she could to Kaine earlier, but he says that he was only heckling Kaine, he didn't really mean it. He bids Spider-Girl go home to her worried parents.

Left alone when DarkDevil leaves, Spider-Girl takes a call from Chesbro, and indicates she has reconsidered - she will accept Black Tarantula's offer of help. At Chesbro's residence, following the call, he confers with Elan - it seems that she is in league with the Black Tarantula, too!
