This film was originally assumed to be titled Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part Two), based on what the previous film entry was called. However, after the previous film dropped the "Part One" from its title and simply became Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,[1] this film was later re-titled to Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.[2]
Initially slated to be released on March 29, 2024, this film would later be removed from Sony's release calender, due to the 2023 Writers & Actors Strikes.[3]
