Synopsis
Phantom Thief 001 breaks into a building and attempts to steal from the safe but is arrested by the police who were holding a stake-out. The thief is taken to the police station but en route, Genyouchu appears and causing the car to crash and the The Iron Cross Army kidnaps the thief. The next day Hitomi discusses with Takuya the monster and wishes to get in contact with the lead detective so she has a chance of getting a great photo. Back with the Iron Cross Army, Genyouchu hypnotizes the Phantom Thief 001 into commiting more robberies but to frame Spider-Man so they can draw him out and destroy him. The theif leaves, and begins a string of robberies, leaving a calling card identifying Spider-Man as the robber. Takuya reads about this the next day and has Hitomi get in contact with the detective so he can follow them to the theif. Hitomi and the detective hold a stake-out while secretly being followed by Spider-Man and they manage to witness the thief break into a building. Spider-Man gives chase, but the thief escape thanks to help from Genyouchu. Later, whilst wandering the streets in his civilian identity, Takuya witnesses a man flip over a car and suspects he's Phantom Thief 001 and follows him. He catches up but the pair are confronted by Amazoness, Genyouchu and the Iron Cross Army. Spider-Man battles multiple goons, whilst Amazoness tries to throw the thief off the roof but the thief is saved from hitting the ground too hard by Spider-Man. Spider-Man takes the thief and drives away to an empty theme park to learn the origins of the theif. He reveals his name is Okabe and was an aspiring acrobat and starting committing robberies to fund his own circus. Spider-Man asks Okobe to tell the police everything, just as the Iron Cross Army attacks. Spider-Man holds the goons off long enough for the police arrives and Spider-Man leads the fight to the forest. Here, Genyouchu finds his light abilities do not work and grows to giant-sized. Spider-Man summons Leopardon and uses to battle Genyouchu until the creature is destroyed.
