Synopsis for 1st story

Rhonda Fleming (Earth-616) from Spider-Man 2099 Vol 3 7 001

The rise of Glorianna

After her transformation Rhonda believes herself a goddess and after teleporting Lash away, she brings herself and Spider-Man back to New York. The inhuman chooses a new name for herself: Glorianna, and decides that from now on she will do good ... and force everyone to worship her as a goddess. Meanwhile, Jasmine is freaking out with concern for Rhonda when Roberta calls her to tell her that she has appeared at the church. Miguel also discovers the position of the inhuman, thanks to comments on the internet and goes there.

In church Glorianna proclaims herself a goddess; logically the priest points out that this is not the case and she tries to kill him. Fortunately Spider-Man saves the cleric, and tries to reason with his ex-employee, but the latter is very determined to be adored and to improve the lives of her worshipers... as she decides. At that point the clash between the two super-beings begins. Jasmine tries to get into the church, but the cops don't want to let her pass, so Raul punches one of them to break through. Captain America's personality tries on going out, but Jasmine's arrival distracts Rhonda, who accidentally hits her girlfriend instead of Miguel, only to flee. Miguel taking Jasmine to the hospital and luckily the woman survives.
