Synopsis for "End of the Spider-Verse - Part One: The One and Only-ish"

Recalling his origin[1] with the radioactive spider, Peter concluded there was no grand design and that life was completely random, never asking for his powers but choosing to make the best choices he could with them no matter where he'd go with them. One present choice is working for the now reformed[2] Norman Osborn, who calls Peter about a hijacked Oscorp truck heading his way. An annoyed Peter asks if Norman was spying on him, but Norman counters that he extrapolated Peter's location based on home address and sleep patterns, thus concluding he would be on an interception path. Suiting up in an alley, he sends Bug (Spider-Glider Pack) ahead of him and Bug scrambles the trucks engine, but also the brakes. As the unstopping truck races to a mother and child, Spider-Man arrives in time to swing them out of danger, then proceeds to web up the goons and calls Det. Shari Sebbens to arrest them. While Spider-Man basks in the crowd's applauds, Shathra observes him from Earth-001 in a junction within the Great Web on Loomworld. After having hunted or killed or turned many other spiders, Shathra orders the newly remade Nestling to open a gateway to Earth-616 to begin her attack.

At the Spider-Sanctuary, Araña senses Shathra's movement and Madame Web, knowing Peter would never let her live down that she calls him "Chosen One," sends a signal to Spiders on Earth-616 to protect Peter. While many of the Spider-Army recruits are still raw, Spider-UK goes to open a portal to send their biggest gun. As Peter tries to get a child off of riding Bug, Norman calls him to have him guard the truck so NYPD doesn't impound the tech as evidence. However, Spider-Man has to deal with the sudden arrival of Shathra's spider wasps, which go about stinging everyone in proximity. After freeing the hijacking goons to save them, Spider-Man catches one of the insects to examine it, finding a familiarity to it before Morlun arrives. Although the multiverse-hopping totem-eater has something to say, Spider-Man webs his mouth and deals an onslaught of negligible attacks, only hurting his knuckles. As Norman calls asking what's happening to Peter, Morlun wallops him within a minute before he is interrupted by Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Silk (Cindy Moon), and Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew).

As Jess holds Morlun at bay, Peter realizes that Miles and Cindy's preternatural rescue being a gut reaction likely means a Spider-Verse event was upon them. As spider wasps sting them while fighting Morlun, Spider-Man "Noir" arrives, but Noir pulls out a magic blade and stabs Jess with it. Much to their shock, she doesn't bleed but unravels from the Great Web, as her whole life is cut from reality, fearing for her son as she fades. As Madame Web and Spider-UK watch from their sanctuary, Morlun intercepts another attack by Noir and rips off the web gag to tell them that he came to help them against a worse threat than the Inheritors. Summoning a wall of the Great Web/Great Nest before the Spider-Verse allies, Noir gives them an ultimatum now that they've all been stung: either switch sides or be severed from the Great Web like Jess was. Miles voices a defiant refusal, but Noir reveals their old friends mutated from Wasp venom and calls to arms Spider-Woman (Mayday), Ghost-Spider (Gwen), and Spider-Punk (Hobie Brown). Forcing the 616 Spiders to face old friends made into enemies.
