The Spider-Friends and the Black Knight all follow to the Land of Shades where they get separated by Mordred's magic. Notes

  • PRODUCTION TITLE: The Sword and the Sorcerer!
  • Writer Don Glut originally wanted to use the Black Knight that appears in Marvel Comics and the Black Knight from Medieval Times. Unfortunately the story editor decided it would be too confusing to viewers that didn't read the comics, so the idea was abandoned.
  • This episode was animated by Toei Doga in Japan. Previously, they had animated the Spider-Man episode "The Capture of Captain America" and would go on to animate the Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends episodes "The Origin of the Iceman", "Along Came Spidey", "A Fire-Star Is Born", and the X-Men episode "Pilot".
