Synopsis for "The Man Who Could Not Die!"
While out with Jerry Hunt, Jessica Drew witnesses a man trying to kill himself by falling from a fatal height. Changing into Spider-Woman, she saves the man, who flees the scene, upset that she tried to stop him. Following after him as he rides off on his motorcycle, she is shocked to find that he survives its subsequent crash, even when the motorcycle bursts into flames. Jessica is soon captured by the man, who reveals himself to be Samuel Davis. Davis has been condemned to live forever thanks to showing cowardice during the War of Independence after his entire unit was killed. Since then he has been trying to die, and each time he has found the curse to be true.
Learning that the 1st way to be free of the curse was to find someone who was willing to die for him, he hopes to kill himself along with Spider-Woman. Spider-Woman resists until Samuel saves her from a bear attack. Breaking free, Spider-Woman easily defeats the bear and then agrees to die with Davis. Jumping off a cliff over some pointed rocks while chained together, Spider-Woman breaks free and flies away, leaving Davis to be impaled alone. However, he is killed, having been willing to put the safety of others ahead of his own wellbeing, thus lifting the curse.

Synopsis for "The Suit!"
When Gunther Malone double-crosses his employer by keeping stolen loot, he ends up being gunned down by the Kingpin's men. Malone's suit happens to fall into the possession of the mortician's brother-in-law, an unemployed man named Marcus Evanier, who needs a suit for a job interview. As Spider-Woman also begins looking for the hidden loot to return it to its rightful owners, the mobster boss men assume that Evanier is really Malone (since Evanier is wearing Malone's trademark suit) and their boss sends them after him.
Evanier passes his job interview with Ashley Book Distributors and is given a free copy of one of their books "Luck: How to Find and Keep it!" before leaving. Suddenly, upon leaving, Evanier is suddenly possessed by the soul of Malone (who is acting through the suit) and send him to collect the stolen money. Being followed by the two goons and Spider-Woman, Evanier finds the loot by breaking open a wall. When the thugs men try to kill him, he turns out to be seemingly bulletproof. Spider-Woman arrives and easily picks off the men. Evanier snaps out of the suit's influence, and he shows Spider-Woman that he survived the attack, because the bullets were stopped by the book he was given earlier. Spider-Woman thanks him and leaves him to turn the crooks over to the police and collect the reward.
Returning home to his wife, Evanier tells her that he thinks the suit is cursed. Does she respond by asking him how could a suit be cursed if it helped him get a job, landed him a reward, and kept him alive?
