Synopsis for "Break of Hearts"
Not far from Brooklyn Bridge, Flesh had gotten the most out of Sandra Miller's life energy and proceeded to replace her by consuming the body of a police officer. Meanwhile, Madame Web attributed the loss of her youth and Jessica attributed the return of her powers to the link between all of the participants between the Gathering of the Five. When Spider-Man asked Morris how they could defeat Charlotte, he answered "nothing."
Later, Mattie and Spider-Man tracked down Charlotte and fought her before retreating. Nine hours later, Madame Web lured Charlotte to a street in Lower Manhattan before Mattie and Spider-Man fought her and blanked their minds enough for the blonde to use energy attacking them, while having no way of replenishing it, being defeated by nothing, just as Morris had predicted. Afterwards, Madame Web planned to erase Charlotte's memory of Spider-Man's true identity and he asked the woman in the wheelchair to also erase Mattie's memory of it, as well. However, Mattie insisted that Peter needed a friend and that if her memory was erased, that he would be all alone, although he, in turn, insisted "maybe that's the way it's supposed to be."
