History
The Spider Idol is an ancient relic tied to the Spider-Totems and the Web of Life and Destiny. On Earth-90214 it was being transported to the Metropolitan Museum of Art when it was intercepted by Norman Osborn. When the idol was dropped, a swarm of spiders emerged from it and devoured one of Osborn's henchmen. One of those spiders bit Peter Parker, who experienced a vision of a Spider-God who granted him spider-powers.[1]
The idol later fell into the hand of Nazi Madame Sturm, who used it to power a machine that transformed her into a body of sentient bees. After she was defeated by The Spider-Man and Miles Morales, Miles took the idol with him to Loomworld,[2] where it was used by Spider-Zero to locate Anna-May Parker.[3]See Also
